Ancient Rome

Nobody will ever know the truth about the founding of Rome because there are too many different stories.  We know Rome was founded on April 21st 753 BC by twin brothers, Romulus and Remus.  However, that's all we will definitely know for sure. One legend claims that because they were arguing over who would rule, Romulus decided to kill his brother, Remus and named the city after himself.  Another legend claims that the city was named after a woman named Roma; she traveled with Aeneas.  She lead the women in the burning of Trojan ships and effectively stranded the Trojan survivors at the site which would eventually be Rome.
